Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death for women in the United States. According to the American Cancer Society, more than 214,000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. Women now face a 1 in 8 chance of developing breast cancer at some point in their life.

The human breast is a gland that is composed of milk ducts, lobes, fatty tissue, and a network of lymphatic vessels. Cancerous tumors can develop in any part of the breast. These tumors can be detected through self-examination, mammograms or thermal imaging.

The majority of lumps discovered in the breast are cysts or fibroid masses. A lump that seems to be growing or does not move may be cancerous, or it may be caused by fibrocystic changes during the menstrual cycle.

If a lump is discovered, a biopsy is required to determine if it is cancerous or benign. In addition to tumors, breast cancer can cause a yellow, bloody, or clear discharge from the nipple.

Not an allergy to dust per se, it’s a reaction to the proteins found in the feces and bodies of dust mites - microscopic creatures that love warm, humid areas like bedding and pillows. Don’t worry though, if you don’t have an allergy, dust mites won’t be harmful at all. For many airborne allergens like house dust mite, the higher the level of exposure, the higher the likelihood of a person producing “allergic” antibodies. High allergen levels also increase a person’s risk of becoming allergic and developing asthma. It’s thought that many asthmatics also have an allergy to dust mites.

Dust mite allergy is an allergy to a microscopic organism that lives in the dust found in all dwellings and workplaces. House dust, as well as some house furnishings, contains microscopic mites. Dust mites are perhaps the most common cause of perennial allergic rhinitis. House dust mite allergy usually produces symptoms similar to pollen allergy and also can produce symptoms of asthma.

I have found that the older I get the more like my mother I am. My sisters used to tease me about this and it would make me angry. I tried to fight the similarities and monitor what I would say and do. One day my husband pointed out to me that my mother was a generous loving woman and that I should be proud that people thought I was similar to her. I reflected on this and realized that he was right, I should be trying harder to be more like her rather than discounting the traits we had in common.

Sooner or later, working in an animal care Center will politicize you. Don’t get me wrong – animals care is not an inherently political job position. basically, we are a veterinary center and an animal rescue. We help people who have pets with injuries and illnesses, and take unwanted animals for adoption. Nevertheless, you would be amazed by the number of activists who come in here on a daily basis. There is something about animals in cages that draws them out of the woodwork. That is alright with me. A lot of them are willing to take some of these animals for adoption off of my hands, and for every animal we are able to adopt out, that is one animal that we won’t have to put to sleep.

People who are living with herpes need to undergo a lot of doctor’s visits when they get checked out and having their medicine adjusted. It can get costly with the average cost of a doctor’s visit to be between $350-500 and that doesn’t include any lab work or additional medical treatments. What many people don’t really see is that it’s a difficult thing when you have to go to the doctor any time your outbreaks get out of hand and having to be put on more drugs.
